More Advanced Chest Cycle Talk
Hey guys what's goin' on? Today i'm talking a little bit more about game mechanics and such! The chart below talks more about the chest cycle, and how to spend your money efficiently!
(1)
You are expected to find, from chests alone:
- ~0.74 legendaries per chest cycle (44 days) in Arena 6 (old value: 2.08)
- ~0.82 legendaries per chest cycle (44 days) in Arena 7 (old value: 2.31)
- ~1.06 legendaries per chest cycle (44 days) in Arena 8 (old value: 2.87)
(2)
You are expected to find a Legendary card, from Magical/SMCs, with probabilities:
- ~3.9% (previously 9.7%) from a Magical, ~23.4% (previously 45.2%) from a Super Magical in Arena 6
- ~4.4% (previously 10.7%) from a Magical, ~26.1% (previously 48.8%) from a Super Magical in Arena 7
- ~5.7% (previously 13.8%) from a Magical, ~34.2% (previously 58.4%) from a Super Magical in Arena 8.
(3)
You are expected to gain common cards much faster than rare cards; therefore you should always request rare cards for maximum efficiency.
You are expected to max out LEGENDARY cards LAST, not EPICS. (Previously you are expected to max out EPICS last)
(5)
Your gold progress for upgrading is NOW FASTER than epic card progress AND legendary card progress. You should use your gold to buy legendary cards and epic cards.
(6)
Gemming the cycle gives you more value than buying gold only in Arena 8. Gemming super magical chests saves you the most time. (Previously magical chests)
(8) (new)
My last blog about chest cycle!!
The best way to max out the game is to buy 1 legendary and 2 epic cards per cycle. (Each cycle takes approximately 44 days to go through)
If you spend 500 gems per cycle, the best way is to buy 1 legendary and 5 epic cards per cycle. This will shorten the amount of time needed to max by 131 days.
(9)
Giant chests provide the least value per gem out of all gem-spending options. A magical chest in Arena 7provides less value per gem than a magical chest in Arena 6. SMCs are now MORE valuable per gem than magical chests in all cases.
(10)
Per gem you are more likely to obtain more legendary from SMCs. I've changed my assumptions and empirical data now supports this statement.
Game Mechanics and New assumptions of game mechanics
(1) - Every chest has a base rarity weight, R, where 1/R is the artificial chance of each non-guaranteed card being a particular rarity.
For example,
Silver: Rare 50, Epic 150, Legendary 200
This means that in a basic silver chest (Arena 1), every card has a 1/50 (2%) chance of being a rare card, and a 1/150 (0.7%) chance of being an epic card.
(2) - Every chest has a base diversity limit, D, where D is the maximum types of cards you can get.
For example,
Giant: 4
This means that in a basic giant chest (Arena 1), you get 4 types of different cards.
Note: The below are strictly assumptions and NOT confirmed.
(3) - Supercell has already generated a chest content "seed" that contains a list of possible combinations of the rarity in each "slot", and the amount of cards in each "slot", in every chest. This seed is either generated on the client (unlikely) or on their servers.
(4) - Every card rolls for the chances for every rarity when they generated that seed. (Previously we assumed only non-guarantees rolled)
(5) - The legendary rarity weight is not 600 in Magical and SMCs. All other rarity weights are accurate.
(6) - The rolling of each rarity is NOT random. The base rarity weight is used as a "cycle"; after every R cards the system will generate a certain card rarity. These are then split into chests according to the total number of cards each chest contains, and then the chests are scrambled in a list. This explains why you can only get 22 or 23 epics in an A8 SMC but never 21 or 24.
(7) - Every time you open a chest its contents are determined from the chest content "seed", either retrieved from the client or from the server. No separate chances are rolled.
