Chest Cycle And Legendary Odds In Clash Royale

Hey what's up guys, welcome to another blog! Today I will explain the chest cycle and talk about the odds of getting a legendary. Let's get started.

So I'm sure you've already heard somewhere that chests aren't random, but I'm gonna go over that first. You can skip over this part if you really don't want to read about it. The chests are in a 240 chest cycle, in which you get 180 silver chests, 52 golden chests, 4 Giant Chests, and 4 Magical chests. The Super Magicals are random.

Getting a Super Magical is random as I said. I have been in over 2000 battles and still haven't gotten a Super Magical Chest yet sadly. Legendary cards are also random.

The chances of getting a Legendary Card in a Super Magical Chest are the same (Edit at the bottom of page, PLEASE READ)  as the chances of getting one in a Magical Chest. This means that when going for legendaries during a chest opening, opening Magicals is the most efficient way. I have the Miner unlocked which I got from a Magical Chest that I won. I am a F2P (Free To Play) player by the way.

Here are some stats:

You are expected to find, from chests alone:

• ~0.74 legendaries per chest cycle (44 days) in Arena 6 (old value: 2.08)
• ~0.82 legendaries per chest cycle (44 days) in Arena 7 (old value: 2.31)
• ~1.06 legendaries per chest cycle (44 days) in Arena 8 (old value: 2.87)

You are expected to find a Legendary card, from Magical/SMCs, with probabilities:

• ~3.9% (previously 9.7%) from a Magical, ~23.4% (previously 45.2%) from a Super Magical in Arena 6
• ~4.4% (previously 10.7%) from a Magical, ~26.1% (previously 48.8%) from a Super Magical in Arena 7
• ~5.7% (previously 13.8%) from a Magical, ~34.2% (previously 58.4%) from a Super Magical in Arena 8.

So basically over the course of about 44 days in Arena 8, you will get 1 legendary card and 5628 cards without spending any money on the game.
